Polynucleotided in Toronto

Want smaller pores, plumper skin, better elasticity, and fewer wrinkles? Introducing the latest in injectable regenerative skin treatments: Polynucleotides. Also known as “liquid lifting”, polynucleotides deeply hydrate, promote new collagen production, and rejuvenate, making it the perfect choice for mature and aging skin. Polynucleotides are also a popular choice for healing scars and supporting hair regrowth.

At VBeauty Spa, we use Nucleoskin, also known as Nucleofill. It combines the power of polynucleotides with the many benefits of hyaluronic acid and brightening properties of glutathione. This formulation instantly plumps and brightens while improving the look and tone of your skin over time. It’s one the most powerful treatments available for lightening dark under-eye circles.

Polynucleotides are completely natural  and allergen-free, so they’re an excellent option for people with sensitive skin. The treatment is growing in popularity and quickly replacing filler in Europe.

We offer polynucleotide treatment along with thread lifting for even more dramatic skin rejuvenation results.

What are polynucleotides?

Polynucleotides are the building blocks of DNA and RNA. They have unique regenerative properties that can improve skin hydration, elasticity, tone, and overall health. The polynucleotides for aesthetic treatments are derived from salmon DNA.

How do polynucleotides work?

Polynucleotides fall under the category of regenerative medicine. This means the treatment doesn’t physically fill in lost volume or refine texture, instead it carries the instructions your body needs to repair aging skin.

The instructions act in two ways. First, they signal the skin to repair itself, reducing scar tissue, irregular texture, or other skin issues. Second, it tells the skin to boost cell renewal, stimulating collagen production, improving elasticity, and reducing wrinkles. The treatment then disappears after giving your skin its regenerative instructions.

What areas are best for polynucleotide treatments?

Polynucleotides can be used anywhere you want to improve the quality and texture of your aging or sagging skin. Our most popular treatment areas include the face, especially under the eyes, neck, decolleté, and hands. Using polynucleotides in these areas boost your skin’s strength and integrity.

Our polynucleotides are one of the most effective ways to banish dark undereye circles thanks to the glutathione in the NucleoSkin formula.

While polynucleotides are considered to be a stronger treatment than Profhilo for advanced aging, the treatments work beautifully together. When used in combination or by alternating between the two, you can get better hydration and rejuvenation, and more youthful looking skin.

When will I see results?

While you’ll have increased hydration and brightness immediately after the procedure, it takes approximately 90 days to see the full skin rejuvenation effects. This is because polynucleotides are making changes to your skin at a cellular level.

How long do polynucleotides last?

For the best results, we recommend one treatment a month for each decade of age. For example, if you’re 40, you’ll see optimal results from 4 treatments in a 4-month period. If you’re 50, we recommend 5, and so on.

Maintenance varies from person to person, but most people receive follow-up treatments every 6 to 12 months.

During your treatment

The whole procedure, depending on how many areas you’re having treated, takes about 30 minutes. As everyone’s face, skin type, and goals are different, I always take my time to tailor my approach to your specific needs and vision.

To begin, we’ll review the treatment areas we discussed in our consultation. I’ll offer ice or numbing cream if you’re concerned about pain at the injection site. After cleaning and marking the treatment area, I’ll use a microneedle to inject the polynucleotide solution. After the injections are complete, you’re good to go!

If you have any questions about the procedure, you can contact our Yorkville office before or afterward. Our free consultation service also gives you the opportunity to address any concerns before you book your first appointment.

After your treatment

There’s very little downtime after a polynucleotide treatment. You may notice mild redness, tenderness, or swelling at the injection site immediately after treatment. This usually goes away quickly but you can take over-the-counter pain medication if you’re feeling uncomfortable. You’ll need to take the following precautions after your treatment:

  • Avoid touching or applying pressure to the treated areas for at least 24 hours
  • Refrain from strenuous exercise and exposure to heat, such as saunas or hot tubs, for 48 hours
  • Avoid acids or irritating skin care for 72 hours
  • Don’t forget your sun protection

If you have any specific aftercare concerns or questions, you can always contact me at the VBeauty Spa and I’ll be able to address them with you directly. Polynucleotides are safe and highly effective, and I’m delighted to provide the treatment here in Toronto.
